There are alot of cool-sounding new dramas headed our way this fall and FOX and ABC seem to have alot of them. It looks like I'll be sampling all of them. Tuesdays at 9PM is going to be rough as alot of compelling series will be on at the same time. Even with TiVo, I don't know what I'm going to do!
Perhaps the big news here, besides the awesome renewal, is the decision to move Arrested Development from Sundays at 8:30 to Mondays at 8PM. It's an interesting choice and hopefully FOX will ramp up the promos for the show and the DVDs over the summer and before and during the season and it'll do well in this new spot.
And Mondays in January on FOX will be appointment television: House followed by 24. And lastly, I really hope/wish that FOX would give The Gate back its original title: Deviant Behavior. The new title just sounds way too generic.
Rumor has it that FOX may just start their Fall 2005 season in August so that their new series don't get pre-empted or ignored for baseball playoffs/World Series in late September/early October. I certainly hope so.

BONES (Tuesday, 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT): From executive producers Barry Josephson ("Hide and Seek," "Like Mike") and Hart Hanson ("Joan of Arcadia," "Judging Amy") comes the darkly amusing drama BONES, inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist and novelist Kathy Reichs. Forensic anthropologist DR. TEMPERANCE BRENNAN (Emily Deschanel, "Boogeyman"), who works at the Jeffersonian Institution and writes novels as a sideline, has an uncanny ability to read clues left behind in a victim's bones. Consequently, law enforcement calls her in to assist with murder investigations when the remains are so badly decomposed, burned or destroyed that the standard identification methods are useless. College in California is over, all he did was party, and a dejected Nate finds himself in a situation he never imagined: returning to his small Midwestern hometown to move back in with his parents.
